Skin Aesthetic
Project description
The [Skin Aesthetic] Clinic is expanding their clinic to include cosmetic dermatologist facilities. The clinic is expanding because they want to be able to provide more services at the hospital. The expanded facilities will focus on body imperfections which include treatments like: Chemical peels, Wrinkle fillers, Microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing. The clients will first consult with the resident dermatologist for guidence on the appropriate treatments. The clients will have access to the product that is located in the skin care bar and they will also be able to get mini facials and demonstrations to improve their skincare routines that is provided by skilled therapists. The interior environment of The [Skin Aesthetic] Clinic should have a scientific and clinical mood, but also one of fragility. The design of the skin-care clinic should be able to receive a minimum of a five-star rating on the GBSCA interior tool. The design will be focused on a healing space.
Design rationale
The design intention was to create a calm skin care environment. The waiting area is broken up into 2 section. The first second is more public next to the product diplay and the skincare demonstration area. The second section is next to the dermatologists suites and juice bar. By breaking the waiting area into 2 sections creates a form of privacy. The colour scheme is a neutral scheme with pops of calming colours.
